ANNA WILLIAMS

At the begining of the century Epoch was on a wave of release with many obscure toys lines and a lot based on videogames, but theyr longest line was Tekken for sure and theyr serires 3 was really impresive. It took them a long time but they finally released my favorite female from Tekken, Anna Williams.

The "Lightning Scarlet", Anna Williams is sculpted by Hiroki Hayashi and in scale 1/10, pretty much the same scale as her sister Nina. but unlike her, Anna can stand on her own perfectly and is not on a battle stance, instead she have a pretty sensual and fluid pose, perfectly for her and her beautifull red dress.

She is articulated on her head, long gloves and waits soo she is the more statuesque of the entire line. Galdly, her pose have enough attitud and personality to not make her look stiff, quiet the opposite. The sculpt is really good, with a very realistic anatomy and some sculpted designs on her chest, her face is really beautifull and her bob haircut is longer than how she use it now.

The paint is really good, with some soft golden shines on her brown hair and metalic golden tones in the inside of her dress, her dress is vibrant and have some black details tough the best part is the bird on its rigth side. I really wish the Kotobukiya statue had this level of detailing on the dress. My only complaign is her eyebrows, for some reason they are mostly blonde.

Her accesoryes aside of her black base with the lego are a bunch of weapons and an extra arm to hold them, just like Nina. The arm can be exchanged much more easy than Nina´s and like her, Anna comes with a gun and two knifes: a machine gun, a sword and a huge knife that looks like a saw. Is like the same arsenal of Nina but much more hardcore.

Is weird giving Anna such weapons since she never use them on the game but they looks really good on her and make sense given we even see her using a rocket launcher. Overall, this is one of my favorite figures from the series, not only this is the only action figure of Anna but she is exceptionally good looking.

ANNA WILLIAMS

While most people think on Nina Williams when the name Tekken is mentioned, my main female character is actually Anna Williams. She has been my favorite since the second game, were i find Nina cold and robotic i find Anna much more fun and memorable and i was pretty excited for her when i learned about the Kotobukiya Bishoujo series.

It took them a lot of time to release her tough and even Shunya Yamashita redesigned his illustration for the figure, i am not sure why since the first version was already good, but he ended giving her a pose with much more movement.

Anna is somehow a little bit smaller than the rest of the girls, maybe because of the pose, and she comes with the same cool round base all other figthers have, included an option to display it with her illustration, the logo of Tekken or the autograph of Harada. The only down side is that tanks to Anna´s feet, the illustration is kinda didfficult to see.

And she is just beautifull and completelly stunning, my favorite deffinetly of the Bishoujo, the fost and seducing look on her eyes and smile fits her too well and theres a lot of movement on her pose, her hair moving, her dress, the big ribon, and still the ress hug her body too tigth you can even see her abs, its evident the culptor really enjoyed while doing this.

The color is really vibrant with the strong and brigth crimson color of her dress and the metalic yellow in the inside, the rest of her body is cast on color plastic soo it looks clean and very "anime" like. Also, they give her real fabric fish nets on her legs, great way to avoid the use of paint.

And as impresive as this figure looks, i am kinda dissapointed by the lack of detais on her dress since on the game, the dress have this chinese enbroidment designs all over it and a paradise bird on the side. Maybe add the embrodery would make the figure looks too busy, but add the bird on the side of the dress would help to make it stand out even more.

Also the pose, yes, its dynamic and full of movement, but wath is she doing? She is twisting her body like Nina but is she triying to stand or sliping with a banan peel? She is runing away from the waist down and from the waist up she is calling you to follow her? I have no idea wath she is doing and i cant think on anyone posing like this, is really awkard.

The pose and detailed body sculpt makes her a very sexualized figure, but this is Anna Williams, she is very sexual and fits into the Bishoujo style pretty good. Now i am waiting for Unknown to be released but since they stoped all together to make Tekken figures i guess i can only dream but i am glad they manage to make both the Willliams sisters, they looks amazing together.
