MORRIGAN AESLAND

Darkstalkers has been always one of my all time fight games and i actually like it much more than Street Fighter. I always wanted figures of this characters tough it seems the only one who gets love is Morrigan (and maybe Felicia) and the rest are mostly ignored.

And even soo, theres a bazillion of figures of Morrigan and i never find any i particulary liked (or i could afford). But after 20 years (OMFG) i finally decided for this one.

From Capcom´s series “Figure Builder” comes this Morrigan Aesland, or how they call her in the box: “The libido roaming the shadows”. She is based on a Kinu Nishimura illustration and is sculpted by Takeshi Hamazaki.

She is actually quite big. She is on the same scale as the GECCO statues (the Silent Hill and MGSV figures) and with her big wings she eats a lot of space. Her hair also takes a lot of space as well but shes incrediblly magnifiscent and alluring.

She have the distinctive Kinu style; a dreamy face and ridiculouslly HUGE boobs as well as Chun-li´s hips and legs, the classic Capcom style. The sculpt os pretty close to the illustration with the added bonus of the base, a moon, a couple of bats and wath it seems bluish velvet/water/ wind that acts like a throne for her.

She is actually sitting on the blue base wich makes her quite delicate, a strong movement and she falls. I guess it goes with the visual of the figure, shes really as delicate as she looks.

Her 4 wings are trasluscent and the paint is quite soft and sensual too. Her skin have soft shadows and her hair is aqua blue but it gradually changes to purple.

The only complaing i could have in here are her eyes, i think they should have been a little higher to make her looks perfect with different view points. Aside of that, i am loving this highlly sexual and delicious toy.

WORICK ARCANGELO

I learned about this guy just in the moment i was watching the Gangsta anime and it could not come in a better moment. I had to pre-order him asap and i followed his development closelly over the months. And now i am reading the Gangsta manga and he just arrives on the mail.

Worick was my favorite character of the anime and i ended liking Nicolas as well more than i was expecting. I dont know if Worick is a bishounen or a pretty boy but i ended liking him way too much. I usually dont like blonde men with long hair but Worick is a big exception of the rule, his personality, age and hairynes rooted deeply in my sould pretty fast.

And is pretty rare that they produce figures of characters like him. I cant remember the last time i saw a 30-something male in figure form (aside of Snake) and this is not just a lazy random figure, but is a statue designed to be quiet sexy even fully clothed. A sexy male figure, thats way too unique to let it pass.

Kotobukiya always do a damn fine job with this kind of statues (they actually do a perfect job with everything) and this is part of theyr ArtFX-J series. I only have another statue from this series, theyr Klaus Von Reinherz portrait and i am very happy to see that both share the same quality and, incrediblly enough, the same scale.

Worick is bigger of course, since hes on full body, but both have the same arm and head size. This is a statue, soo theres no articulations and no accesoryes and deffinetly no problem making stand nicelly.

The pose they give to Worick is pretty damn good and spectacular, he is poiting his gun while he is evading an attack or turning around and while his suit has nothing unique, the clothing and body flows perfectly. My only complaing is that his face is mostly hidden bi his arms. Sometimes is hard to have a closer looks of his face thanks to the arms pose but i guess theres no way to avoid that.

His hair is pretty stylish looking and the smirk on his face is terriblly sexy. You can see his fangs and the expression marks on his firehead and around his eyes, is pretty obvious he have adrenaline runing on his system with that fiere look on his eye. His pupil and even the shine on his eye, the level of details is brillant and all this are both sculpted AND painted. Even his eye patch is a separate piece over his face.

His handgun is detailed too tough theres nothign special about it. Wath pics my attention stronglly is how his fingernails are both sculpted and painted as well and the magnifiscent anatomy on the muscles of his arms, full of tension.

His shirt is open soo you can see his muscly pecs and you can also take a look at his hard rock abs in the place his shirt got lose. He even have blonde hair on his pecs, arms and beard and also a treasure trail that goes from his belly into his pubes.

This is where things start to get hot. He is way too manly for an anime character and while he is fully clothed, the small details and peeks they give us to his manly goodies are pretty elegant and sexy. This is not a bland male figure, this guy is totally designed to portray the sexynes of KOHSKE artwork into 3D.

The paint is perfectly clean and vibrant, tough he is very pale and his hair is also painted in a soft yellow, this means his hairynes is kind of hard to notice under some light. I actually had a lot of troubles taking this pictures since the flash erased all the details but the non-flash option was way too dark as well.

Soo in reality, hes much better looking that he is on this pictures.

His base is pretty solid and dosnt take too much shelf space either and have a nice intense yellow color that gives it a dirty and unclean look. I sometimes wish Worick hair was this yellow but then i realize this colour would make him look way too cartoony.

In the end, his monochromatic color and plain suit makes him looks a little boring compared to my other figures, but once you take a closer looks is really spectacular looking. I was temted to get Nicolas Brown too but i dont like they way they sculpted his face BUUUTTTTT still, having the two handymen together is something hard to resist.

KLAUS V. REINHERZ

After watching Kekkai Sensen i started to scout for figures and i was dissapointed to see that a series with such rich visuals have literally nothing in the toys department. I saw a Klaus from “RevolMini MicroYamaguchi”. He was tiny, had pretty odd articulations and the details are prettynon-existant. I didnt liked too much the Snake and Ninja from RevolMini soo i wasnt going to touch Klaus at all. Gladlly, years later Good Smile Company released both a Figma and Nendroid of the character.

But it was Kotobukiya the one that came to the rescue on its line ARTFX J and the result was quiet odd and amazing. Not exactly a figure, but more like a statue maybe? Or should i say a 3D portrait/photograph better. Based on an actual illustration from the chapter 29 of the manga, this could be considered a bust as well?

I dunno, but i really loved how it looked and i pre-order it fast and i am glad i did it since i didnt see him too much around (not even in the USA page of Kotobukiya).

He have quiet the fantastic sculpt, with his hair looking really cool in 3D (something really difficult to do) and his tiny sculpted fangs, the fold of the clothing and his arm, all perfectly defined and with a nice flow of movement, his tie too. And even you can peek behind his tie and shirt a little bit and see some magnifiscent clavicles and pectoral muscles under the clothing. I am sorry but i am a pervert, i cant help it.

The paint work is perfect too, no splotchs of any kind and his fangs and lips are perfectly painted. His tiny eyes are defined and have an intense emerald green colour and his glasses are a separate sculp with transluscent plastic. Serisully!!! This is amazing details for a toy!!!!! Not even Square Enix and they Play Arts Kai dare to sculpt glasses like this ones!!!

The blood portal he is coming from is made with red transluscent plastic, soo it looks ethereal and vibrant. The “Kekkai Sensen” logo behind have the little cut marks on the kanjis and it looks great in front of the black background of the base.

The only mobil part is the little leg behind, soo you can stand him like a portrait and it also have a small ole soo you can hang him into a wall as well. I love how versatil this thing is!!! Not only he can fit on any place, but you can hang him on the wall and save some shelf space for more figures!!

I am tempted tough to put him in a little table close to my bed soo i can see the 3D portrait of my husbando and talk to him before i sleep and when i wake up, like those ridiculous love movies but i would be send into an asylum for such chessy and campy acting towards my half-vampire non-existant boyfriend.

Gladlly, that wont happend since i dont have a table near my bed, lmao.

My only complaing here is that i was expecting something the size of an artbook, but he is not that big…he is as big as a photograph, soo he have the size of an average action figure. Despite of the size, and thanks to the fact we can only see a fragment of him, he is incrediblly well detailed.

If they ever release a good action figure of a statue of Klaus, i will sure get it in no time!! But this little items is soo exciting i dont even know where to classify it: is like a statue but a 3D artwork at the same time? McFarlane Toys released lots of this kind of items years ago but i never get one until now.

Now i am just unsure if i want him in front of my TV or hanging in the wall.

ARCHER

I remember my visit to the Expo Geek years ago and hos dissapointing it was tough the most relevant about that day was the arrival of my very first Figma. I never felt interest on Figma before that day since the figures were pretty small and mostly showcasing lots of underage girls and lolis, but that one that change my opinion that day as Archer from Fate/Stay Night.

I remember how much i was impressed with the box and the presentation of the figure and since Archer has been my husbando for 18 years already, i was very happy wit this figure.

He is a little bit smaller than Lancer for some reason tough he fits perfectly with all other Figmas and he can stand on his own erfectly despite the heavy outfit tough the Figma base is included and works wonderfull along the little plastic bag for his accesorys.

His sculpt is amazing, his face shape, eyes, hair, everything perfectly matches the Fate art. One would say its easy since he is a pretty much standar "anime" character, yes he is kinda simplistic but over the years i seen lots of figures of Archer and most of them dosnt looks like him. Really, for such a simple design, they always screw him, even the expensive Medicom 1/6 scale figure dosnt looks too much like him.

His body shape is muscly and athletic, with lots of curves and no matter the pose, he looks sexy always. The color application is perfect and extremelly clean and brigth, perfect for an anime character like him and his face details are perfectly painted.

He is fully articulated on the head, chest, waist, legs, tigths, knes, ankles, feet, shoulders, elbows, wrists and incude two articulations on the tails of his outfit. All this articulations works perfectly and have a huge range of movement and are strong enough to hold the poses. The red shoulder piece as well as the red piece on his waist are made with soft material soo they dont get in the way.

The tail thingys looks really spectacular and can be posed perfectly but they looks awkard in a statis pose, specially from behind tince the waist piece dosnt keeps the flow. A little odd detail tough most fellows will pose the tails fliying around soo i am OK with that.

He comes with lots of hands as well as two gace plates; one stoic and another one shouting. Both looks awesome and are easy to tsntall tough the screaming one have his eyes looking at his rigth side and, while i apreciate how expresive they are, that limit the display options. Also the hands are a little tricky to exchange thanks to the ovall thingys at the end of his sleeves.

He have his two extremelly good looking swords to use as well as his huge bow and gigantic arrow. The bow is really spectacular and fitting (since he is an archer) but put it on his hand is really difficult and the weapon is soo thing....i am afraid is extremellt delicate. The arrow have awesome details and paint but it gets on the way thanks to its size.

Soo the big winners here are the swords. Not only have an insanely cool design and paint, but they works perfect for him and are a lot of fun to play with.

Really, it was with this figure were i finally notice how good are the Figma figures, i was soo impresed with this guy, he was soo perfect and he is still perfect after soo many years to the point i feel i dont need any other Archer figure.

BUBBLE HEAD NURSE

I feel soo odd buying soo many Konami merchadise at this moment, with Konami in rigor mortis… is almost like getting a letter from a deseased friend. I trully would never dream to have Silent Hill action figures at all but Figma is granting that wish (tough it takes them an awfull lot of time releasing this girls) and make it in a strange way as well since theres no human characters at all in this collection.

I went ahead and buy two Bubble Head Nurses. They are not as expensive as Snake or Leonidas and i wish i could have get many more to have a swarm of Nurses to display.

This Nurses are thin…like, real thing and extremelly small and delicate. Solid Snake and Archer Figmas looks like the Hulk compared to them. I think Figma messed up the scales a little bit but at least they are in perfect scale with Red Pyramid Thing, and thats the important part.

They articulations works amazinglly good and let a HUGE range of flexibility. Play Arts Kai is going to be jealous of this articulations forever. Nothing can stop thyr movement since theyr skirt is made with flexible plastic and can be opened in the sides. Also, for my surprise, this girls can stand by theyr own even with theyr articulated and little shoes but is always better to use that amazing and usefull base designed by Figma.

The contrast in textures is beautifull. Theyr skin is plain and solid, like a manekin or some kind of doll, and theyr uniform is fleshy, looks like is made with human skin. The color on the uniforms is dirty and the tones on theyr skin are really amazing. They have loads of purple tones and shadows and theyr legs and necks are full of tiny blue and purple veins.

Aside of theyr bases, this girls have an army of little hands (i have troubles finding the difference of some of them) and a steel pipe and a knife. While i dont remember any Norse with a knife in Silent Hill 2, i am sure they added it as a reference to the movies and i apreciate it, since the knife make one of them stand out.

They other accesoryes are 3 heads. One of them is covered by some kind of plastic membran and the shadow of a face can be seen behing. I think this head is the most accurate to the game? The other head dosnt have a membrain and is pink and full of veins, pretty fleshy looking and make it looks like his head is a big cancerous tumour. The third one is the same as the pink one, but with a mouth carved on it that looks like a jack o´lantern.

I really wish this girls were bigger but the level of detail is top notch to theyr sieze. They are as amazing looking as the Gecco statues. And having two makes it better since they can sexually harras the bully of Red Pyramid Thing with no problem.

This are one of the strangest action figures i have and i really wish Figma will continue working with the series. I want to see more monsters like this, even from Silent Hill 1 and i REALLY want a James Figma now, and Maria. But i really dont know wath to expect at all with Konami rotting away in some dark corner…

RED PYRAMID THING

It took me a while take photos of this guy because i was lazy and also it took him a lot to arrive to my door. The price was worth the wait and meeting the seller too since he was pretty cute.

Red Pyramid Thing Figma figure from Good Samile company. I actually never expected to ever own Silent Hill action figures. When Gecco released those awesome statues i was thrilled but this is not statue but an actual action figure, with accesorys and articulations (and a good price). Its a little surreal to see this character in this kind of medium but i dont complaing.

He have the standar size of an action figures (bigger than the new McFarlane crappy toys) and comes with the super awesome base Figma always have and a plastic bag to store all his accesorys. The textures are pretty clear and comes from rubbery (his hands) to dirty fabric style (his outfit) and the painting works wonderfull over them. He have a pretty monochromatic pallete but still, the paint add a lot of tones and shadows to highlight the details.

The articulations move smootly and stay in theyr place wich is great. Of course, giving his bulky nature and design (the head and skirt) he cant be posed in dynamic martial arts scenes and such but he actually can stand on his own wich is pretty neat giving the size of his head.

He comes with extra hands for multiple gestures, his great blade and the spear he uses in the final battle. He also can be posed as the suicide scene (wich is pretty awkard) using an extra neck piece with a hole to inser the spear. He dosnt have too much accesoryes but they are enough for him.

I am deffinetly very happy with this guy and the Bubble Head Nurse but i really hope GS company and Konami think in a big way (i doubt it) and give us more monsters, like the Black Faery/Mery and the Liying Figure, and characters too. This set is going to be a blast if they make James and Maria!!

But in they end they stoped at all and we only get two Silent Hill 2 monsters wich is not that bad, its better tha nothing specially with this kind of quality. I still think the Gecco statues are much better looking, but this little Red Pyramid is a lot of fun.
