LANCER

In the last few years i been constantly drooling over Good Smile company figures: the Figma Devilman, Nendroid Dante, Predator, Sally....soo many figures that are now way way ahead of my wallet. Years ago i pay an obscene amount of money for the Figma Void and while i dont regret, i promise myself not to do it again and now...that amount of money is the base price of all the figures of Good Smaile Company.

It seems i am not the only one who was left out of theyr league tough since they released a brand new serires called Popup Parade, a "new series of figures that are easy to collect and with affordable prices"... basically toys for poor people soo i think i am finally able to keep in the boat fo Good Smile at least for a short while toigh soo far i didnt see too many characters i like in this Popup Parade until a few weeks ago when i saw Lancer from Fate/Stay Nigth Heaven´s feel.

I love Lancer, i really do love him despite people questioning me constantly why since he is soo pretty. I really dont know wath to say, i just like everything on him and specially on the film Fate Go, tough he dosnt happend to be specially popular since i found his Popup Parade figure at half the price....woo this figure was soo soo soo CHEAP it almost feel like it was free. I wish i got this kind of deals more often by toy collecting.

This Popup Parde are basically statues, tough i always tough they were tiny statues but Lancer is not that tiny, he is basically in the same scale the NECA action figures, soo he is taller than his Figma and he is not articulated, he can stand on his own perfectly with his base. The base is made in a translucent bue pastic to match his colors and its shape and size makes me think it can kind of conect with other figures in this serires or at least fit the base in a small space shelf.

On all tis simplicity, the base is good looking, elegant and helpfull. I am pretty sure Good Smile used the same molds of the Figma, soo the sculpt is really good. while the pose is pasive, is dynamic, stylish and manly and matchs Lancer perfectly. I wish the musculature was bigger tough and his face have more deffinition, specially in the nise since his nose scupt is soo small it almost like looks like he has no nose at all.

While the lance have a nice "veiny"(??) sculpt, my favorite part is his spiky hair and tail as well as his earrings, the detial is pretty sharp and they even sculpted his fingernails, wich makes it oodd the lack of deffinition on his face.

The paint seems to be the same as the Figma, with muscly blue and a pretty clean look as well as a ittle bit of transparency on his skin, the figure catchs light pretty good and shines like a cartoon character in 3D. There is a soft shade of dark blue around his muscles to make them stand out and the grey line around his body have some messy sections but only can be seen on a closer look.

His red eyes are perfect and contrast really good with the dark blue and they painted his mouth in a pretty "anime" style tough his mouth and the lack of mouth make me thingk he looks....somwhow....like a kitten.

But the best part are the metalic finish on his shoulderpads, boots and the lance, they shine pretty good and makes me wish McFarlane used this kind of paint to his sucky toys chains.

The lance can be removed but beyonf that theres no accesoryes or anything more about this figure. Its really basic and simple but nicelly crafted and the perfect choice to own a character and now destroy your wallet in the process. I am really surpriced theres no Archer figures tough since i would love to have them together but ill be sure to buy more of this figures!!!

Now the brand new Lancer Nendroid...thats another sad story....

ARCHER

I remember my visit to the Expo Geek years ago and hos dissapointing it was tough the most relevant about that day was the arrival of my very first Figma. I never felt interest on Figma before that day since the figures were pretty small and mostly showcasing lots of underage girls and lolis, but that one that change my opinion that day as Archer from Fate/Stay Night.

I remember how much i was impressed with the box and the presentation of the figure and since Archer has been my husbando for 18 years already, i was very happy wit this figure.

He is a little bit smaller than Lancer for some reason tough he fits perfectly with all other Figmas and he can stand on his own erfectly despite the heavy outfit tough the Figma base is included and works wonderfull along the little plastic bag for his accesorys.

His sculpt is amazing, his face shape, eyes, hair, everything perfectly matches the Fate art. One would say its easy since he is a pretty much standar "anime" character, yes he is kinda simplistic but over the years i seen lots of figures of Archer and most of them dosnt looks like him. Really, for such a simple design, they always screw him, even the expensive Medicom 1/6 scale figure dosnt looks too much like him.

His body shape is muscly and athletic, with lots of curves and no matter the pose, he looks sexy always. The color application is perfect and extremelly clean and brigth, perfect for an anime character like him and his face details are perfectly painted.

He is fully articulated on the head, chest, waist, legs, tigths, knes, ankles, feet, shoulders, elbows, wrists and incude two articulations on the tails of his outfit. All this articulations works perfectly and have a huge range of movement and are strong enough to hold the poses. The red shoulder piece as well as the red piece on his waist are made with soft material soo they dont get in the way.

The tail thingys looks really spectacular and can be posed perfectly but they looks awkard in a statis pose, specially from behind tince the waist piece dosnt keeps the flow. A little odd detail tough most fellows will pose the tails fliying around soo i am OK with that.

He comes with lots of hands as well as two gace plates; one stoic and another one shouting. Both looks awesome and are easy to tsntall tough the screaming one have his eyes looking at his rigth side and, while i apreciate how expresive they are, that limit the display options. Also the hands are a little tricky to exchange thanks to the ovall thingys at the end of his sleeves.

He have his two extremelly good looking swords to use as well as his huge bow and gigantic arrow. The bow is really spectacular and fitting (since he is an archer) but put it on his hand is really difficult and the weapon is soo thing....i am afraid is extremellt delicate. The arrow have awesome details and paint but it gets on the way thanks to its size.

Soo the big winners here are the swords. Not only have an insanely cool design and paint, but they works perfect for him and are a lot of fun to play with.

Really, it was with this figure were i finally notice how good are the Figma figures, i was soo impresed with this guy, he was soo perfect and he is still perfect after soo many years to the point i feel i dont need any other Archer figure.

LANCER

Years ago it was thanks to Fate/Stay Night that i meet Figma and started a collection, Archer was my very first Figma and is still one of my favorites. Tough since then i hasnt get any other Fate figure since Good Smile refuse to make anything bara out of it, like Iskandar. But when they announced Lancer, i had my doubts.

Along side Archer, he was one of my very first husbandos of Fate. He is not a mature bara daddy like Iskandar but he pulls off the young muscle jock in spandex pretty nicelly, and manages to be extremelly cute and perverse at the same time. But i watched the Fate/Stay Night Heavens Feel on teathers and studly Cu Chulainn was both the sexyest part and the most badass and cool character on an otherwise boring affair.

Soo i just pre-ordered him and i dont regret.

Lancer comes in a standar Figma box and he comes in standar scale as well…or is he not? For some reason i dont understand, he is a little bit taller than all other Figmas, he is even taller than Guts. I usually would love this, but not when Archer looks shorter. I hate when they come out with different scales within a single series but nothing can be done, i just wonder if this is due to the many years it took them to make Lancer.

He can stand on his own, tough he comes with the super awesome Figma base mostly for jumping poses for aerial combat, and it suits him pretty well. He have double articulation on his neck, his hair, double articulation on his shoulders, elbows, wrists, chest, waist, legs, knees, ankles and middle of the feet, also since his outfit is extremelly minimalistic and is almost like he is nude…. nothing gets in the way of his articulations.

He can virtually be posed in any single way with no problem, wich makes him extremelly fun to play with.

The sculpt is good, very athletic musculature with meaty pecs and the face is as simplistic as he looks on the anime. His hair have probablly the best sculpt in the figure since his pony tails have a very dynamic and beautyfull sculpt. The paint is as simplistic as the sculpt but looks perfect for him.

Most of the paint details are on his eyes, red eyes with pretty sharp pupils and perfect paint apications.

There is a lack of accesoryes here tough, since he only have one single weapon; his red lance. I never notice until now but the design on his lance is pretty random and the pole looks like is covered in veins. His weapon is extremelly phalic…

The color is deep crimson and shiny and fits perfectly on hiw hand. Is usless to mention this weapon looks kinda delicate and must be handle with caution to not break it.

His other accesoryes are 3 extra faces: a smiling and winkling face, a face with a maniac and fierce smile and another one screaming in combat. Each one of this is perfectly painted and very expresive, i find specially awesome the deep of the sculpting on his screaming face. He is a very expresive character and with this faces he can be pretty cute and seductive and dangerous looking.

He also comes with a lot of hands. Really, he have A LOT to hild his weapon with both hands and in different angles. Again, this makes him an extremelly expresive character.

I cant really think of anything to complaing here. He is a little simple looking, but hes a perfect representation of the character. Soo now i have the two original boys of Fate and, even with the scale issue, i am very happy how this two looks and interacts together.

An interesting fact: on the box he is designated to Fate GO and not FSN, wich gives me hope, maybe Figma is going to release more Fate GO figures and maybe MMMAAAAYYYBBBEEEE Napoleon with them (i doubt it).

ARCHER

Last year i was thinking on the Nendroid Archer for some reason and wondered why i didnt got him. I know i am mostly alone when it comes to Archer love, most of the people i know seems to dislike him a lot because he is not as beastly as Iskander and toy companies dislike him because he has no boobs. Archer is too pretty for bara lovers and too manly for otakus….

And somehow, that very same day i found a store with Archer Nendroid and at a very cheap price because (like the shop keeper told me) hes too old and no one wants him….

And he is actually old because hes was released probablly 5 years ago given the number on its box. He is on the 400s number while now Nendroids are in the 900s!!!

Little Archer is really tiny and standar size for Nendroid tough, unlike Chris or the Snakes, he is very simplsitic in nature and colors, with clean white on his hair and brigth red on his outfit, i have to admit his legs are really really detailed with all the straps and leather texture.

He is articulated on the neck, shulders, arms, elbows, wrists, chest, legs and knees tough his legs dosnt have a lot of pose options thanks to the red skirt thingy around them. This part is not articulated and i am glad, it would be anoying and pointless.

I actually have a lot of problems posing him, thanks to my big sausage fingers. Its pretty difficult to move the legs or arms without them sepparating from the body. In the end most of the poseability comes from his arms that can be posed perfectly.

He comes with two faces; a serius one and an angry one and both can be exchanged easy and also comes with an extra pair of hands to hold his second set of accesoryes.

His first set consist on his two swords. But fist perfectly and looks amazing and super detailed and painted, exact replicas of the Figma swords. His second set consist on his bow and two arrows. The bow is simplistic while one of the arrows have a cool and stylish purple metalic tone while the other looks like a ridiculous sword-drill. The Figma comes with this same arrow soo i know is accurate to the original design.

The arrow can fit nicelly on a little hond on his hand, soo he can hold it with no problem, but the bow is really troublesome. It fits perfect on his hand, but given Archer´s huge head, is pretty difficult to pose the bow with such short arms.

He also have a super funcional and traditional Nendroid base as well as a little cute extra: a background with his Noble Phantasm. This is the very first Nendroid i have with a background tough, while its cool, it fits much much better to the Archer Figma given his scale.

The Nendroids stress me and this guy is no ecception, i prefer the Figmas any day tough he is pretty cute and fun to look at and i am glad to support my Fate husbando as much as i can.
