ENDEAVOR

Its interesting how fixation works, specially on specific characters and not in whole series because i got a big liking for Endeavor from My Hero Academia but i dont like exactly My Hero Academia at all...actually i find most of its characters irritating but Endeavor have a very special place in my heart despite all his faults, and as action figures he have a most perfect design to shine as an excting sculpt.

Before the pandemic there was nothing about him but after 2020 he got a lot of love from figure brands, specially Banpresto and Bandai that started adding him to every My Hero Cademia collection and pretty soon, my collection growth pretty fast and now i cant even take a picture of all my Endeavor figures together because they are too many, and just randomly i found a brand new one i didnt even knew existed at all.

Again, like most figures of this character, this is from Banda/Banpresto and have a beautifull price tag....i really wish all other figure brands stick wth this price range but i guess that too fantastic to be real. The box names him MY HERO ACADEMIA THE AMAZING HEROES - PLUS - ENDEAVOR and it dosnt have any info of wath other characters form this collection but that dosnt worry me at all (up at this point i impsible to know wich character belongs to wath collection with the amount of Hero Academia stuff coming out).

This guy is exactly the same size of the rest of the Endeavor figures i posted here - matches perfectly the NECA or McFarlane scale figures but given his pose, he is shorter than the rest. I am not sure if he can stand on his own but he comes with a base that consist on a thin yellow square plate with a hole in the middle with the shape of his boot. As simple as this small piece of plastic is, it works amazing to make him stand and keep his balance all the time. This kind of simple bases are such a wonderfull acesory that shows theres no reason to have a figure with no balance, just basic engineering works perfectly.

This is a statue soo no articulations and no accesorys asid eof the small base and he is divided only in two pieces: upper body and lower body tough put this peices together is pretty easy soo this figure is pretty effiscient from every perspective. Here we have Endeavor crouching, legs open and with a fireball on his back hand just about to throw it but wath stands out the most is that he hsi missing his fire mask and beard. This is pretty much the very first figure i see him with his face clean of fire!!

His cheeks are puffy and his eyes have no pupils and have a mad expression, he is evidently collecting all his strenght on the next attack and the sculpt pn the face details are really good!! The shape of his mouth, the cheeks, the whole pose with his head lower, the body expression is really good and let us know waths going on here perfectly and the anatomy of his muscles is, like always, way too good. Also he is missing his giant shoulder pads (and i am glad, i hated them but i guess they would not work in this specific pose).

The fire on his boots and hand looks really good specially the big fireball on the hand tough they are made of normal plastic, no transluscent bits here and that rest spectacularity to the figure. Also while theres scartches on the metalic ganutlet and the suir, theres no painted details at all and every section is painted in a single color, like the gauntlets are just plain grey, the suit is plain blue and the orange sections are just brigth orange an theres nothing to highligth the muscle structure.

Tough the red details on the suit are a little shacky and they invade the bklue or orange section pretty poorly, the paint on the face is pretty good with the mouth detail and the scare as well as the hair beard and eyes perfectly painted, the way the eyes are painted is evidently pretty cartoony and since there just plain colors on the entire figure, this gives it a pretty "cell shading" or anime look.

The boots tough and fire ball are painted with a soft mix of yellow and oranges that makes the flames stand out nicelly.

I am very happy with this guy tough thanks to his pose (before the action and not during the action) and simplistic color he dosnt stand out as much as the other Endeavor figures but the sculpt and áint details on his face are really good and i am loving to see his face finally under all that fire. Makes me wish they make more figures like this one with less fire soo my Endeavor altar keeps growing.

ENDEAVOR

Endeavor is such an interesting character because he is mostly univerally hated, and theres not mch merch about him at all and i seen the very little exist always lag behind in the stores compared to the other characters of My Hero Academia, and yet....even with all of this some of his figures reach crazy prices for the most random and arbitrary reasons. This makes collecting him quiet fun but also quiet stressing (I still remember how difficult was to get his Funko Pop figure because it was "chase" and how theres literally hundreds of those available on every single store by now).

I know every single time i buy a figure of this man my interest on the My Hero Academia get higher but despite the risk, i keep getting them because the Bnadai Spirits/Banpresto collections are soo fun to collect, soo cheap and soo cool looking!! Tough this particular figure was reaching obscene prices on every store it got him available and it took me wait an entire year to finally find a place with a fair price.

Only named in the box as "Ichibansho Figure My Hero Academia", this collection consist on Midoriya, masked Midoriya, All Mighty, Endeavor, Hawks and the Jeans guy who´s name eludes me and as always, this are all very good looking but my interest focus only on Endeavor.

With the prices i saw onlain i was expecting a truly huge figure, but actually this guy is just in the same scale as the rest, taller than an average action figure but not big enough to feel like a premium statue. I have no issue with this tough, he is big enough to have an important presence on the shelves but not big enough to not fit on them. Also, despite the size, this guy is, for some reason, like 3 times much heavyer than the rest of the figures. I have no idea why this is.

This also means that he cant stand on hiw own at all, until you put the little transluscent stand he comes with, a weird plastic brik that fits around his boot. Only with this he can magicaly stand for hiw own with no problem, tough he already fall in me twice soo this stand is not 100% trustworhy and find the rigth balance for the figure seems to play a crucial role on making him stand.

This figure is the oposite to the last one in the last review. His pose is less action and spectacular, instead is very stationary and stoic, with Endeavor in a power position, but while the other had pretty vibrant and basic coloring that made it looks like an anime frame, this one is extemelly detailed, extremelly painted and full of textures.

The outfit have this small identations that gives it the texture or a hand draw sketch but this textures dosnt get in the way of the muscular details, with a lot of wrinkles in the rigth places that extend from one muscle to another. The anatomy is very generous, like always, specially on the pectoral area and legs, but this figure in particular have a bulgue (and it seems thats the reason why the high demand), the gauntlets and the shoulder pads also are full of scratches and marks that makes them looks worn and old.

The face have a pretty evil looking grin and his eyes are full of veins and that makes him looks like he is on berserker mode tough his head is more visible than the other figure, the flames on the beard are abundant.

Unlike the other figures, the flames here are very short and they twist aroudn following a single direction, and also theres lot of them....like, lots, his entire back is completelly filled with glames as well as his ass and the boots but the shape of the flames make them looks almots like smoke, like this flames are about to make combustion and are ready to explode in any minute. Also some of this flames are made of hard plastic while others, somehow are made with softish rubber like plastic but still, they are trasluscent.

I always tough transluscent plastis was always hard soo i dunno how most of this flames can be gummy and wtill been seen tough them tugh thet are cast in red, they have a lot of yellow paint around mixed with a little bit or orange but they contrast much more than the other figures from Bandai. The armor have a darker silver mixed with soft black as well that makes it looks like it have burns.

The outfit have a lot of dark wash as well to enhance shadows and meakes every muscle stand out a lot (bulgue included!!) and the hands, this time with fingernail, have also a black wash to make them looks dirty with ashes. The scar is perfectly painted as well as the mouth, with black inside it and under the teeth and the color job on the eyes is really impresive and perfect!!

The balance issue migth be a problem but aside of that, this figure is really epic looking and stands out a lot with his bulk and details. Like i already said, every single figure of Endeavor is extremelly different to the other but somehow every single one of them have something to offer and a pretty personal interpretation of the character. This is one of my favorites tough i cant chose a favorite one at all.

A new one is coming to celebrate the end of the manga, but aside of that i am reaching a closing state to end this collection, i am only missing the most expensive ones and the Nendroid (that cost like twice this figure) soo while i am happy my collection is almost compelte, i am also going to miss buy figures of this man.

ENDEAVOR

Latelly i been having an itch to watch My Hero Academia and i dont know if those are bad or good news since my only interest on it is thanks to a single character: Enji Todoroki. I love Endeavor design and character overall and i dont want my interest on him to be thrown away thanks to a lousy and juvenile narrative. I been devoting too much room space and money on him since 2020, when i saw the very first figure of him on a Bandai store on a convention.

Both bandai and Banpresto has been a blesing since they been releasing a lot of high quality statues at an extremelly low price and that let me build a nice collection of this particular character. I am not sure if theres a cheeck list but every few months, Bandai has been releasing figures of collections about May Hero Academi with 5 to 6 characters, and sometimes in the mix they add Endeavor.

The collection dont seems to have a title this time since the only info in the box calls it "Ichibankuji My Hero Academia" and "Figure D: Endeavor".The full collection consist on this guy along side his son, Bakugo and Midoriya as well as two enemies (one of them Dabi) with Endeavor being one of the tallest figures in the collection.

This guy is exactly the same scale as the other figures of the character, its amazing how consistent has been Bandai and Banpresto with scale (except with the figures based on the movie) and as a statue, this figure dosnt have any kind of articulation or accesoryes aside of his base. The base is a translucent oval with a conector for one of Endeavor feet as well as two rods to hold his legs. The base works wonderfully, is elegant and works perfect to keep him in balance with such a tricky pose.

This is by far the figure with the most dynamic and action oriented pose from all of them. Enji is jumping to the front, with his torso turning with the motion and one of his hands rady to shot a fire ball soo the only part that conects with the floor is his left boot and the rst of the figure is levitating!! The rods holds each of his legs with a clamp soo the figure rest in a pretty confortale and safe way without losing its dinamism.

The body sculpt is really generous with the musculature, with the tigth outfit not hidding anything at all of his anatomy with only a few wrinkles here and there and even his neck have some veins sculpted to show how much tension there is over his body. One odd detail tough is the fact they dont give him fingernails!!

The Face is OK, with his spiky hair and a face expression showing his teeth. The teeth tough arent too detailed either and are only painted in white but the paint on his beard and scare and eyes are really really good and well defined. Tough to be honest its pretty difficult to see his face since the flames mask is pretty big here.

Actually, most fo the figures is pretty invaded with flames since not pnly the mask around here eyes is much bigger and thicker, but theres flames coming out from his chest and abs that invade hi entire torso to the back side, and the back have a full wall of almes covering him. The flames on his boots are also very thick and the flames on his hand on top are huge and are twisting in a pretty spectacular and stylish way.

The whole fire is made with transuscent plastuc soo you can see his hand under it and his torso and they are cast on orange/red plastic with a soft brush on yellow here and there. The flames have a pretty velvetish texture and looks and feel very good and thety catch the light nicelly.

Like mentioned above, while the face is pretty difficult to see, the paint is perfect on the eyes, scar and beard and most of this figure pieces are cast on each dominant color, soo the skin tone is very consistent and clean as well as the blue on his outfit and brigth orange on the boots. The orange and red are perfectly painted while the blue sections have a very soft dark wash to give deepth to his musculature.

The metalic gauntlets as well as ugly shoulder pads are painted in metalic grey with some dark washes as well but they share the same velvetish texture as the flames. The rised arm can be detached in order to store him on his box but thats the only removable part.

Overall, this figure is missing some details - like the teeth and fingernails - but the pose really make it stand way too much. The colors make it looks perfectly like an animated character with a vibrant and simple coloring, but seen this character in the midle of a battle is such a threat, and the sculpting of the flames really make this figure looks like is constantly moving.

Actually, its a shame but no photos make justics to this figure, its deepth and sence of size really looks diferent on image. Its odd how many figures of Endeavor are out there and somehow every single of them manage to stand out on by theyr own style and made me soo difficult to chose wich one is my favorite!!

ENDEAVOR

Something like My Hero Academia never happened to me before: I try to get into it but the more read or chaters i watch, the more disgust i feel despite the interesting character design. I guess is just not meant for me since the characters really makes me feel cringe and disgust, except for a single one that a few years ago was hidden in total obscurity: Endeavor, a hero that, despite being well known now he dosnt have too much merchadise comapred to his son or the other characters.

Aside of Funko and McFarlane Toys doing a descent action figure of him, Bandai Spirits and Banpresto are really the kings with My Hero Academia, releasing an awfull lot of amazing statues and figures with pretty high quality and extremelly low prices. Its thanks to this that i been having a lot of fun collecting the chaaracter of my obssesion i guess.

This time around Endeavor is part of a seies with the tittle "My Hero Academia The Amazing Heroes Plus" and Endeavor is the Volume 3, but i dont know wath other characters form part of this collection since this time around the box have no images of them.

This figure have exactly the same size as a NECA action figure soo its like half an inch smaller than the other Nedeavor figures, but its hard to notice once they are all together. He is an static statue soo no articulation and comes divided in two pieces that asemble pretty easy - torso and legs section. He cant stand at all thanks to the pose of course but he comes with a base pretty different to the other ones: a black transluscent oval base with an arm with a peg that inserts on Endeavor back and a kind of support for his rigth foot.

Asemble the base for him is pretty easy and once its done, is extremelly safe this figure will never fall. And once more this is a fully action oriented figure since Enji is levitating above ground with his back arched backward, his legs open, his hands in claw shape while he is about to explode in flames, or maybe this is the after of a powerfull attack, is difficult to know.

The sculpt is really good, specially on the torso, the muscles are pretty well done, specially the big muscle pectorals, as well as the legs structure. The wrinkles around the legs flows pretty natural and we actually have a bulgue here as well as a great looking back side. The texture of the whole figure is very velvetish and his face is a little bit more simple looking that before.

The scar is sculpted as well as the teeth and the beard and mask are separate pieces but the flames have a kind of soft sculpt. Theres fire coming out from his chest and a lot of more fire coming out from his back but all this fire is pretty thick and very cartoonish looking (including the fire on his boots), also, theres no transparency in here, its all made on normal plastic.

This really rest a lot of beauty to the character tough the coloring is pretty nice, with a mix of yellows and orange, the flames looks almost cell shadoe and have a very vibrant look on them. The face also have a pretty anime look, with black lines dividing the teeth and the eyes being bigger than before.

The uniform is just blue, with no other darker or ligther tones to highligth the muscles and the red and orange part are also very basic. Also, in some section of his abs the red paint is invading the blue are and viceversa, a pretty sloopy paint job and the shoulder pads and amr armour are painted in white, with no metalic paint on them.

The metal parts not looking....well...metalic i can fogive as well as the cartoon flames since they give him a very anime look, but the red strips invading the blue sections is really a big mistake. Then again i guess i cant complaing for the low low price i pay for this.

And despite all this, he looks fantastic. The pose really helps to make him look badass despite the simplicity of the paint and even menacing. This could be also a deffinitive version of the character, just like the rest of the figures.

When a character is made into a figure multiple times is easy to end with some really good and really bad stuff, is only natural. But with Endeavor, despite having soo many figures by now, some that looks like anime, some that looks like a comic book, some more realistic, somehow every single one of them looks really good and add a lot to the character, even the McFarlane lousy one have a certain charm and interest and, up at this point, i cant really pick my favorite.

ENDEAVOR

Deffinetly its a good time to be an Endeavor fan. Not too long ago he was such an obscure figure that not even fans of My Hero Academia knew about his existance, and now theres lots of merch from him to collect but big part of that is thanks to Bnadai Spirits and Banpresto, releasing hig quality figures with very affordable prices that makes collecting Endeavor pretty fun.

A little correction here, is not good only for the Endeavor fans, but for fans of My Hero Academia in general since the amunt of figures released by Banpresto and Bandai has been astonishing and not every series includes Endeavor, actually he only is included on a handfull of them. This series in particular is labeled as "Ichibankuji My Hero Academia Rushing" and oncludes Midoriya, Bakugo, the crow looking guy, the guy that looks like a hobo, the musical guy, Endeavor, Hawks and the bunny girl (i am sorry, i dont know the name of this characters!!) and the box is really really huge and the figure is actually pretty heavy as well!!

Heavy and thick...this is not hollow plastic soo this is the second heavyest Endeavor figure soo far only behind of the gigantic Masterlise Extra one but not only that, but i see a lot of reseblance between that one and this particular figure as well soo maybe they are made by the same sculptor. This guy here is taller than the other Endeavor figures, in bigger scale, but given his pose and bend legs, he is the same size as the other figures.

I am not sure if he can stand on his own....his pose is really tricky, but he comes with a base that looks like a bubble, made with transluscent plastic and fits around his front leg. Is a little anoying since its hard not to see this base thing but considerong all his figure have similar accesorys it dosnt looks too bad, also this little piece of plastic keeps him standing perfectly soo it works really good.

While all other figures of this characters, except the last one, shows him in a stoic and very serious pose, this one shows him in full action, attacking with a flame punch while giving a frontal step. The musculature is impresive since this time around muscles are tensing up in different directions and they show the complet mastery over anatomy of the sculptor.

I specially like the dorsal muscle conecting with the arm while the torso is twisting and all the force seen on his tensed up legs and ass, the sense of movement is very present but also a sense of weigth and power, like a tank. The flames are more in control this time, shorter but stil moving to the back, like small wings or the propuslor combustion of a jet pack.

The beard and mustache are specially "bushy" but they dont hidde anything of his fierce face expression. But the best part is effinetly the kunkles on his punch and how they mix with the fire that cover his arm. This punching fist is pretty much the only removable piece of the figure and like all flames in here, they are cast in traslucent plastic.

But unlike the last two Endeavor figures, theres a lot of paint on the flames, including the first ones, a lot of orange and yellows as well as a metalic red in the point of the flames and the flames on his face, back and boots have the same pint aplication. This makes the fire looks very very detailed but at the same time block the ligth and all the trabslucent features of the plastic that can bee seen only with very direct ligth and only in the end parts of the fire.

The shoulder pads and arms armor are painted in silver metalic paint and this time around his uniform actually looks blue. There is a lot of black airbushing to to higlieth the amazing muscles and the orang sections on his uniform have a mix of yellow and orange gradient that makes it looks like there is actually fire under them. This make this section specially good loking along side the flames on the shoulders since it looks like they are mixing together.

Ulike the last two Endeavor figures, the skin tone here is painted and have some pretty tame and discret brushes and his scar have a pretty realistic color and texture. but his eyes and mouth have actually a "line art", a pretty thick black line that makes him look like a comic drawing. I find this detail to be very interesting because the rest of the figure is much more realistic looking while the face looks cartoony.

The result isnt bad tough since it makes his face stand out a lot, against all odds it works to give even more force to his expression. The blue eyes and teeth are, of course, perfectly painted.

The muscular structure and the way the flames are sculpted as well as the paint on the uniform with the mix of yellow and orange and the super detailed paint on the flames (and even the bulgue....) reminds me a lot the Masterlise Extar figure based on the movie. This two pieces looks connected somehow despite the different scale.

I love this figure A LOT. The sculpt is exquisite and the paint is really spectacular, the pose in the middle of an attack make it soo unique and spectacular and makes this the deffinitive Endeavor figure, tough the other figures, each one are also the deffinitive Endeavor. Is like each one of them is perfect in theyr own way, independently and together. Such level of perfection is soo shocking, specially with the low price they have!!

ENDEAVOR

Latelly been feeling curiosity over My Hero Academia and i even starting read the manga, but despite its good looking art i wasnt able to get into it. I find all characters to be really cringe or plain horrible and toxic or obsessed. Maybe things get better soon but i got the feeling if i get into My Hero Academia i will start hating it instead of loving it.

I just have an hyperfixation over Endeavor, i love him, way too much....i mean, aside of the 4...i mean 5 very good reasons to love him, i find his character design to be completelly amazing and fitting perfectly for action figures and such merch and Bandai Spirits and Banpresto has been doing an amazing jov in the last years releasing prize statues of the character and the rest of the cast at an extremelly low price.

With the title "Ichibankuji - My Hero Academia: Hero vs Villians" this is figures "D" Endeavor with the rest of the collection consisting on Bakugo, Midoriya, Shoto, Hawks, Dabi, Himiko and Shigaraki and every single one of them looking really good with poses full of movement and ligthing and other elemental effects, my interest is focused only to Enji Todoroki.

This figure is in the same scale as the last Endeavor i review in here - tittled Ichibankuji The Top 5 Number 1 Hero - and it gives me the feeling both are sculpted by the same person since they are basically the same figure but in a different pose. A little bit taller than your average action figure, the perfect size to have a presence in the shelf but not big enough to not have room for it.

He can stand on his own perfectly tough given the pose is better to use the included base just to be extra safe with him. The base is a half donut shaped plastic made with transluscent material that fits on his rigth feet, just like his brother figure and the HUGE Master Lise one, the base works perfect and is really discrete.

This is a statue soo no articulated parts and this is actually a whole complete piece soo it dosnt need any assemble. While the other piece have an static pose with him arms crossed in a very stoic and manly way, this one shows Endeavor ready for action, legs open with his flames in an explosjon of combustion and shapped almost like wings, expeling all his power in a fierce roar.

The sculpt is really really good, all the musculature have that heroic shapes comic book characters always have, with every muscle perfectly shapped under his outfir and while theres a lot of natural wrinkles on the front, theres not much of a bulgue in here sadly....tough the ass compensate that as well as those magnificent and godly pecs.

One of the reasons i love this character soo much is the fire, this time havong a pretty clean sculpt with not much detail, the fire curls in a pretty unrealistic and stylish way that makes it look more like some kind of liquid and it helps a lot to make this figure looks much bigger than it really is and completelly cast on transluscent red plastic, the effect with a little bit of ligth is really spectacular.

All the lines and details on his uniform are sculpted and the wrinkles on it as well as the boots looks really natural and also i am starting to like the big shoulder pads as well. I love his face, looks really good and really stylish and the sculpt on the teeth is great as well as the spiky hair.

The hair is sculpted on brownish plastic while the head is sculpted on skin colored plastic and each piece is sculpted on the dominant color and that gives them a pretty clean look that fit an animated character. The white of the teeth and the pink on the tongue and inside of the mouth are perfect but perhaps the best paint comes on his eyes and scar having a lineart in black to make him look animated. The blue fierce eyes are really amazing here and even his beard and mustache are painted!!

The shoulder pads and arms armor are painted in metalic silver while the boots have a vibrant orange that is also on his uniform along some red lines, but i got the feeling the blue on his uniform is a little too dark....looks almost black and dosnt show too many panited details (unlike the cross arm figure that have a lot of tones to high litght the musculature).

The flames have some soft yellow on them and some vibrant crimson on each point but they are mostly clean to leave the ligth travel tought the trabsluscent material and this time around, the flame mask dosnt hidee his eyes as much as the last time either and i specially like the movement of his beard, flowing to the side to give space to his huge pecs.

I been seeing this figure for years and for years i was pretty close to buy him but gladlly i wait and with the help of my amazing boyfriend i was able to buy this guy ate a very very VEEEERRRRYYY low price at AmiAmi. Maybe this is why i like this figure that much...this Endeavor is soo good clooking, such ana amzing sculpt, pose and paint job and yet the price was almost for free.

Really, this was literally 1/4 a Nendroid.....this character not only have some of the best figures put there but also is very affordable and this particular figure is one of my favorite of him since this showcase the character perfectly and makes me want to get more of him.
