JUN KAZAMA
After 3 pretty awesome serires of figures of Tekken 3 i was actually expecting a 4th serires tough the blister didnt anounce anything like that in serires 3. Instead, Epoch restarted the collection based on Tekken Tag Tournament and changed the figures a lot.
Still sculpted by Hiroki Hayashi and in scale 1/10, the line included Kazuya Mishima, Lei Wulong, Eddy Gordo and Jun Kazama, but sadly this serires was very rare and i was never able to see them more than a couple of times. I really wanted Kazuya but istead i only got Jun Kazama.
Jun is thing....really tiny figure...as small and Xiaoyu but without the fluffy outfit, she is pretty light and delicate and can stand on her own tough they also included a base, but this time the base didnt had the Tekken logo and only had a piece of rocky floor with a black arm to hold the figure. I lost the arm at some point but Jun can stand on her own soo i am not worryed.
If the Tekken 3 character were mostly statues, Jun is fully articulated on the neck, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, legs, knes and ankles and this is the biggest change deffinetly. She have a huge pose range but....all articulations are cut joints, soo they only move in one direction and this mean you need to rotate her elbows 180° to simulate bent elbows. Her legs have the same system soo its really tricky to give her a nice looking pose....she cant even close her legs at all...
The sculpt is good like always, with her face looking really delicate and femenine, with the ribbon on her hair and her short and vest, her outfit is really simple and overall...she is kinda simple looking too...i mean, compared to the Tekken 3 characters.
The paint is totally clean, specially on her face and this time around the strands of hair on her forehead are not slopy at all. Her outfit is a very pale blue, wich makes her looks almost totally white and the only strong colors in here are her black hair and a red handkierchef on the pocket of her chest.
Her accesorys are 3 extra hands: two open hands and one pointing hand that can be exchanged really easy and help to imporve her look. The ther accesoryes are a pair of bent legs. Yes..this is soo weird but she have a extra pair of legs that can be exchanged in the knes section. Its easy to do it but is not easy to pose this legs correctly to make her stand.
It seems Epoch was really aming for dynamic posing with this lasts erires of Tekken, but the complex articulation system was a big let down for me and kinda makes her looks like a robot. She is pretty for sure and for years this was the only Jun figure on the market, but the Play Arts Kai really surpassed this figure on all sences.

JUN KAZAMA
When the SquareEnix Play Arts Kai line was on its hightest point, before they started to release Marvel and DC stuff like crazy and theyr prices were kind of fair, they focused mostly on videogame characters and aside of Street Fighter they also made a Tekkn Tag Tournament 2 line (with a pretty nice looking box). And they started with a classic couple from Tekken 2: Kazuya and Jun.
Jun Kazama is much shorter than Kazuya and the same size of Ryu and she can stand on her own perfectly (this was a surprise) despite her feet being smaller than Kazuya but she still comes with the anoying Hexastand all PAKs had, a base that sometimes worked and some other times it didnt thanks to the awkard shape and arm.
Jun is fully articulated on the neck, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, boobs, waist, legs, knws and ankles as well as the shawl. Yes, her shawl is articulated and made with different pieces instead of only one piece, soo she can have total freedom on her shoulders movement. And this is the strongest point of this figure, thanks to the ball joints and simple design and, like Kazuya, her figther nature, she have an unlimited posibilitys for poses and can adopt any of the action she shows on the game.
Like Kazuya, she is entirelly made with hard plastic except her hip piece and shawl but the hard plastic on the pants block the ankles movement a little bit. Desite the material she is much more light weigth than Kazuya thanks to her small frame.
She dosnt have any of the "skin texture" Kazuya have soo her skin is really smooth looking giving her a better look than her partner. Her face is just beautifull, with the glosy and vibrant pink lips and perfect looking eyes with a soft and peaceful expression and the strads of hair covering them, Square did an awesome job with her in both sculpting and paint.
Her outfit is really simple with a birds print and very soft grey tones to give it volume. The grey tones are much more softer than those on Kazuya´s pants and looks much better, its evident less is more in this kind of thing. Her shawl issculpted in soft plastic and also have the print of a flower on the side, i really wish Kotobukiya did this kind of design print on Anna Williams.
Its evident Square did not care for this serires at all since the ony accesorys Jun have are an extra pair of hands. They are helpfull for combat poses but thats all, no extra face expressions, no combat effects or anything else wich was really dissapointing considering her price.
Also, this was the last figure of the line. Only two figures from the amazing list of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 character, wich was really dissapointing. Despite of that i am really glad they did Jun and not Heihachi, she realy deserved an action figure and this is deffinetly the best figure of her to date.

JUN KAZAMA
My very first Kotobukiya Bishoujo statue wasnt JayCee or the Street Figther girls but it was Jun Kazama, my main character in Tekken 2 and Tag Tournament (one of my mains) and she did an awesome come back in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. She wasnt one of the very first figures from the Bishoujo series but she was one of the very first from my favorites.
She is actually the tallest of the Tekken women and one of the very few that is standing straigth. The pose is incrediblly simple but really beautifull with Jun walking while she turns her head, just enough movement to give her dinamism and make her look extra femenine.
Her face is beautifull tough not the face of a mature woman since she looks still pretty young even with the soft make up and light pink on her lips, here eyes are very expresive and even kind of wise and her short black hair have transparency on the tips, wich makes it catch the light pretty nicelly.
Now, while i have no problem with the pose at al i do have an issue with her outfit. For some odd reason, Shunya Yamashita decided to change her outfit and give her an swimsuit. Her pose is really elegant but her swimsuit is not soo much in my opinion....is white with the same shadow dove design her normal outfit have but to make everything more strange looking....she have her belt and shawl too and high heels...
I mean, if she is on the beach or close to a pool with her swimsuit, why the shawl, belt and high heels??? This is really awkard looking despite the elegant color scheme. I would have liked this much more if she had her normal costume with white pants and sandals, for me this change of design really ruin the figure.
Even if she is not my favorite of the serires, she is quiet expensive now....i saw her blasting really high numbers, specially on her box and i think she wasnt very comon of a statue back then. I just wish Kotobukiya had release her on her Unknown version.
