ICE DEMON
The Amon, Apocalypse of Devilman action figures by Fewture Models was pretty small but made a trully handsome display once all together, tough they looks kinda gay all holding hands, the figures complement each other wonderfully in both silhouette and color palette.
But while the series one had a glow in the dark skeleton Amon as a gift for those who collect it and series two had Demon Lord Dante, the Amn series had something much more special.
Join the icy bases of the figures and you get a kind of decorative memento of a fosil Devilman under the ice.
The bones of the sleeping Devilman are soo perfectly painted that looks natural and fused with the black rock bed beneath him. The transluscent plastic that encapsul them have some withe brushes and washed areas that makes it looks like an imprefect crystal. Is even cracking in many parts, yet the view of the inside is perfect.
I really wish the amazing looks of this awe inspiring piece could be catched in photo, but is pretty difficult to do it. And while i like the idea of get extra figures for collecting a series, this item was a much more special surprise for the fans it almost makes me wish to buy the figures again just to display theyr bases together.

AMON
Just before the start of the series two of Devilman action figures, Fewture Models released an extra series deddicated to the OVA Amon, Apocalypse of Devilman. This series was really small tough it share the high quality of the other two series. Devilman and Saylos based on theyr OVA looks were pretty solid figures tough the third character would surpass them pretty easy.
This is the third Amon designed by Yasushi Nirasawa and, just like with Devilman, he is extremelly different to the other two and in my opinion, the best of them all. While the first Amon was almost “nosferatu-esque” and Zenotic Amon looked like a dragon, this Amon is much more beastly and brutal.
Like Clive Barker would say: “its an amalgamation of demonic excess and erotism”. Probablly the manlyest of all the figures, with crimson skin, a mean look, bearded, very hairy, with huge bulguing pecs, the back of a bull, giant muscles on his arms and legs, a tiny waist and even a bulgue, this Amon is the weet dream of any fan of bara. Is easy to understand Siren behaviour on Crybaby after being in presence of this Amon.
The wings of his head are HUGE, with the texture of old leather and full of holes, the sculpt on his head is extremelly crisp and defined, with perfectly visible lips and individual fangs sculpted as well as a stylish beard, the level of sculpt in this guy is crazy amazing.
The chiseled muscles are detailed with the same quality, with veins all over them and an impresive anatomy and scales between his pecs, the hair on his legs is as sharply sculpted as his skin. I must say even his back is EXTREMELLY impresive, with raw muscles that are about to explode and an ocean of hair that flows perfectly, the artistry on this guy is amazing.
While the hair is mostly black with only a few brosn on his head, the red on his skin is darker enough to make him looks natural, but with certain light it kinda shines with a soft metalic looks. The red on his face matches the red on his body perfectly and the only other colors on him are his silver fangs and yellow eyes.
He is articulated on the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, abs, legs and knees soo he is not as crazy movable as the other two, yet each one of his articulations are free to move and have an amazing range of movement, nothing restrict them, not even the hair on his shulders since its sculpted on deparate pieces that “levitates” over his shoulders and move a little bit along them.
Also, his feet are huge and thanks to the lack of articulation on his ankles, he can stand perfectly even on a runing pose!! I think this is the figure on the entire 3 lines that can stand perfectly without the use of a base!! And this is not small feat given how tall he is and how incrediblly heavy feels.
This figure is sure extremelly heavy, much more than Jinmen or the rest wich only makes him sexyer.
Even soo, he have the big chunk of ice that works as a base, to match the other two tough he dosnt need it at all.
Amon beats easy Devilman thanks to his good looks and can beat Saylos as well since all his articulations are much better, soo this is by far the best figure of the Amon, Apocalyse of Devilman.
Not only that, but he is the rarest of the series and i was extremelly impresed with him when i first got it since it felt like a trully special figure, something unique, and now i am still impresed with how damn looks he looks on almost any pose.
While series one had Winged Devilman and Jinmen as the most brillant pieces and series two had Zennon and Mico and Welvath, the Amon series had this piece as the best of the best representative. Even if you dont know who this creature is of who exactly is Devilman, this monster extremelly good looks suits perfectly to any collection of horror stuff and even looks menacing alone on any shelf.

ZENOTIC AMON
The Devilman - More Than Demon series of Fewture Models had nine amazing figures already released when it comes to a close to the last one and it leave me half dissapointed. After having such important characters like Satan or Miki made figures or more obscure ones like Welvath and Zan, ist was strange to end the series with a re-design of an already existing character: Amon.
It was at this point when the series started to feel a little bit like Batman or Spawn, with millions of versions of the same character while other important characters, like Kain, Texsch, Odom… were waiting in line.
Then again, its hard to feel dissapointed with a figure like this since once in person, Zenotic Amon is a really beautyfull piece.
Coming in the standar size of the other demons, Zenotic Amon have the wings on his head reduced and reshaped to looks more like horns. His golden eyes are each one of the sculpted and painted fangs on his devil mouth are a threat for the eyes. He even have a purple tongue and jaw articulation.
His body is a mix of shining withe and regal purple and is covered on a geometrical armour that looks like scales. His back is specially amazing and looks like the back of a dinosaur or a dragon. All this scales are individually divided with light blue and painted with metalic purple, wich gives him the looks of a snake or a fish.
His hands have some fur and i am in awe to see all the sculpted wrinkles on his amazing clawed fingers. One of his hand have blood spalttered on it as well as the skull ring Amon had on the first series. This gives me the impresion this is an Amon evolution or second form (like Goku Super Saiyan) and creates a small narrative bridge that jouns the begining of series one with the end of series two.
His wings have a pretty unique and hard to descrive design, tough they have no paint on them, they can be removed. But the best detail is deffinetly his super long tail. This tail have two sharp claws on the end and a gross and terrifiying mouth with fangs at the center. It looks like the second mouth of a Xenomorph.
Zenotic Amon is super articulated, with his movable jaw, shoulders, arms, elbows, wrists, legs, knees and ankles as well as his wings that can be closed. His tail is not articulated sadly, wich is tragic given how long it is and how it gets on the way soo easy.
He comes with the coung base with his name but sadly, this base dosnt help him at all. Thanks to the big amount of articulations on his legs and how thing this are and how heavy are his wings, he keep falling over and over again and not even his tail help him (i think it sorta adds to his lack of balance). I had to use a Play Arts Kai base to make him stand but like with Genie, it wasnt easy fit the base between his huge wings and anoying tail.
I am still a little sad we didnt had a new character to close the second series, but Zenotic Amon is too much of a solid figure to not like him, even with his lack of balance he is one of the most evil looking toys i ever seen, with a complex and very stylish sculpt and a beautyfull metalic painting, he is the very best deffinition of demonic elegance and can fit perfectly on any collection of horror figures.

AMON
The Deviman action figures line from Fewture was trully impresive back in the 90s. Ther were huge, super detailed and had 1/3 the price of a modern Figma or SH.Figuarts, designed by Yasushi Nirasawa, they ended as the perfect testament of both the late artists and Go Nagain awesome manga.
The second release of the first series was Amon, the demons fused with Akira Fudo. I am not sure if this was actually the very first visual design of Amon ever shown, but this guy comes out pretty close to the first volume of Amon Apocalypse of Devilman.
Nirasawa had much more fun with Amon than with Devilman, since this one almost his fully unique design.
He dosnt have the sexy “human” shape Devilman had, instead his body is contorted and twisted with a huge torso and looong amrs and legs and incomplete wings coming out from his back, with his arms being the most impresive part of him with those veini texture and incrediblly long figers with claws.
He looks a lot like the monster of Nosferatu with those menacing claws and hunched silhouette. He also hace piercing on his nipples and metaic clamps on his shulders, something pretty common on Nirasawa designs, a taste of torture and pain.
His face is specially amazing thanks to his grin, with long metal fangs that goes from ear to ear, he looks too much like a vampire, specially from a down point of view.
This is the first edition of Amon, soo he comes in a purple color with enough tones to dont make him dull, the paint application is pretty good and high light his muscles with soft tones and darker tones on his veins and details.
He is not pretty asriculated tough, just the same as the other toys from the 90s: cut neck, shoulders and elbows, soo theres not a whole lot of display options.
He´s only accesory is his base, a black piece of rock with black skulls around. Pretty simple but effective.
Tough, given the long and thin legs and the masive weight of his torso and arms, he cant stand on his own even with his big feet. He falls to the front constantly soo i use a couple of rubber pieces under his feet to keep him on balance and he stands perfectly, but he cant stand on his own outside of the base.
The perfect way to call this guy is “extreme Devilman”, he keeps all the basic design of Devil while distorting each element to make something trully monstruos and devilish, i even see something of the Xenomorph on his long tail and lean body.
Amon is not one of my main favorites either, but he can stands proudlly as a scary piece on an horror collection.
