KLAUS V. REINHERZ

After watching Kekkai Sensen i started to scout for figures and i was dissapointed to see that a series with such rich visuals have literally nothing in the toys department. I saw a Klaus from “RevolMini MicroYamaguchi”. He was tiny, had pretty odd articulations and the details are prettynon-existant. I didnt liked too much the Snake and Ninja from RevolMini soo i wasnt going to touch Klaus at all. Gladlly, years later Good Smile Company released both a Figma and Nendroid of the character.

But it was Kotobukiya the one that came to the rescue on its line ARTFX J and the result was quiet odd and amazing. Not exactly a figure, but more like a statue maybe? Or should i say a 3D portrait/photograph better. Based on an actual illustration from the chapter 29 of the manga, this could be considered a bust as well?

I dunno, but i really loved how it looked and i pre-order it fast and i am glad i did it since i didnt see him too much around (not even in the USA page of Kotobukiya).

He have quiet the fantastic sculpt, with his hair looking really cool in 3D (something really difficult to do) and his tiny sculpted fangs, the fold of the clothing and his arm, all perfectly defined and with a nice flow of movement, his tie too. And even you can peek behind his tie and shirt a little bit and see some magnifiscent clavicles and pectoral muscles under the clothing. I am sorry but i am a pervert, i cant help it.

The paint work is perfect too, no splotchs of any kind and his fangs and lips are perfectly painted. His tiny eyes are defined and have an intense emerald green colour and his glasses are a separate sculp with transluscent plastic. Serisully!!! This is amazing details for a toy!!!!! Not even Square Enix and they Play Arts Kai dare to sculpt glasses like this ones!!!

The blood portal he is coming from is made with red transluscent plastic, soo it looks ethereal and vibrant. The “Kekkai Sensen” logo behind have the little cut marks on the kanjis and it looks great in front of the black background of the base.

The only mobil part is the little leg behind, soo you can stand him like a portrait and it also have a small ole soo you can hang him into a wall as well. I love how versatil this thing is!!! Not only he can fit on any place, but you can hang him on the wall and save some shelf space for more figures!!

I am tempted tough to put him in a little table close to my bed soo i can see the 3D portrait of my husbando and talk to him before i sleep and when i wake up, like those ridiculous love movies but i would be send into an asylum for such chessy and campy acting towards my half-vampire non-existant boyfriend.

Gladlly, that wont happend since i dont have a table near my bed, lmao.

My only complaing here is that i was expecting something the size of an artbook, but he is not that big…he is as big as a photograph, soo he have the size of an average action figure. Despite of the size, and thanks to the fact we can only see a fragment of him, he is incrediblly well detailed.

If they ever release a good action figure of a statue of Klaus, i will sure get it in no time!! But this little items is soo exciting i dont even know where to classify it: is like a statue but a 3D artwork at the same time? McFarlane Toys released lots of this kind of items years ago but i never get one until now.

Now i am just unsure if i want him in front of my TV or hanging in the wall.
