ADAM JENSEN

I can say honestly the very firt thing that got my attention in Deus Ex was its protagonist, Adam Jensen. He was designed to be the first day husbando, receating all those cliches of the “mechanical woman” of cyber punk - like Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell - but on male form.

Gladlly, i ended liking the game aside of Adam and yet, i pass on the Play Arts Kai figure because i was waiting for a 12″ figure of him with removable costume. Something that never happened sadlly, soo when i saw the statue of the second game, i was decided to get him.

I actually get this special edition like a year and a half ago (like Street Fighter V) soo i guess everyone interested on this guy already saw him or got him.

He is 9″, not too big and not too small either, bigger than an action figure yet much more smaller than the SFV Ryu, i think he is the same size of the Play Arts Kai but not articulated.

The details are outstanding. Each mechanical feature on his arms, screw and marks on his metalic costume are both perfectly sculpted and painted with no traces of sloopynes anywere. Even the small text and symbols are in the perfect place.

His face is perfect as well, with his cool golden glasses and the scars on his check and the wrinkles on his forehead, every detail on the character are represented perfectly tough i feel his hair needs a sharper deffinition of the sculpt.

His legs and ass are covered on the Titan armor, soo they are lacking all details and instead they have a metalic and slick prism design that shines like a mirror. Still, the parts where the armor is creating itself (on his waist) have some incrediblly sculpt with sharp points.

His sniper rifle is pretty accurate as well and looks realistic, with an extra accesory that can be removed: a sound supressor.

The pose is dynamic and have a perfect flow and dramatism we dont really see in the game - since is a FPS - and the base is elegant and simplistic, in gold color to match the black of Jensen and the logo of the game.

Sadly, he is EXTREMELLY DELICATE since he is standing on his tip tow and have all his weight proyected to the front. While removing him from the box, i broke his connection with his base. Instead of having a metal rod inside his leg, the rod is made with plastic and can be broken pretty easy.

To help him stand he have an extra transluscent rod that goes on his runing leg and support most of his weight but still, he feels pretty delicate. I had to use some glue on his feet and worked good, he is standing, but i dont know for how long since each time i move him i fell hes about to fall apart.

The special edition of Deus Ex Mankind Divided is better and much more beautyfull than the Street Fighter V one and i am happy to have it, but as cool and neat as this figure looks, i think i prefer the Ryu statue since its much bigger and sturdy.

I am happy to have this statue of the cyber-husbando but i still think he is a little small and i will try to get the Play Arts Kai anyways.
