WINGED DEVILMAN

Fewture Models Devilman action figure line designed by Yasushi Nirasawa was my obssesion for a long time and after 20 years it still keep its place as one of my all time favorite toy lines from the 90s.

And for many years i was missing one single piece, in an era where buying toys from the internet was not a posibility for me, one piece that evaded me for a long time was the 7th figure of the collection: Winged Devilman.

This was the last figure to join my collection and while he is a redesign of the very first figure of the series, hes pretty much worth all the effort.

While Nirasawa was kinda shy designing Devilman, this secondary version shows how confortable he was with the character at this point. That sexy manly and muscly silhouette is gone and replaced by an inhuman muscle body with extra long arms and claws. He is riped for sure but shows muscles no human have and the lean arms and legs make him looks more agil.

The tail was updated as well and is longer and the best part of the pack are deffinetly the wings. A pretty impresive pair of wings perfect for his scale, this is the biggest (not the tallest) figure of series one thanks to them.

He can stand on his own perfectly and is the most articulated figure of the entire line: head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs, knees and ankles tough he cant move his wings sadly, he is the most dynamic of the bunch and the most fun to play with along with Zannin.

His smile showing his fangs alon the BRIGHT golden eyes make him looks terrific and intimidating!! This is by far the best Devilman of Fewture Models as well as one of the best i ever seen.

And now the best part, he has an action feature, something pretty normal back in the 90s: hes a glow in the dark figure. Tough we are not talking of glowing tattos or eyes, in here the entire piece glows in the dark except his legs and wings on his head!!! Even his rocky base with sckulls glow in the dark!!

Is a shame tough that my camera cant take a picture of this glow in the dark feature on all its glory, since the green shine dosnt stand too much on the photo, in person he looks trully spectacular and amazing.

A huge upgrade over the first Devilman, this guy stands out as my absolute favorite of series one by far and a figure that would looks amazing on any kind of collection.
