MR. HYDE

When The Nightmare Before Christmas action figure series 6 by NECA was released, we already had a huge display of Halloween Town and most of the characters of the movie along with a lot of Jack´s and Sally´s. With serires 6 we had another Jack Skellington along side the Corpse Family and the Melting Guy and Spider Hair Monster. The final figure of the serires was Mr. Hyde.

This is also one of my favorite characters tough i like the Spider Hair Monster a little bit more, Mr. Hyde is really freaky and weird and the tallest figure after Jack. He is the same size as Behemoth and the Wolfman and thanks to his tiny feet, he cant stand on his own but have a big black base to fix that. He is articulated on the neck, shoulders, elbows and wrists and all this articulations works really good.

I love his weird looking expresion with his green skin, bigh mouth with fangs and huge sick yellow eyes, he is really odd on a cartoon way and his jacket (?) have a fabric like texture and very vibrant greens giving him a pretty solid and dark color palette. Also the texture and shape of his body give him a pretty "claymation" look.

His acceorys consist on a hollow pumpkin as well as his two mini Hydes. One of them is messing around with a russian doll while the smallest one have a mallter and can be placed on top of the pumpkin. While they are not articulated, theyr level of detail, sculpt and paint is trully fantastic and matches perfectly with the big Mr. Hyde.

The other accesory is the best one, the half side mini Hyde poping out of the hat, with the smallest mini Hyde poping out of the half size Hyde hat!! By removing the big Hyde hat, this guys can be put on top of his head with a peg and a hole, and while the proces is tricky since big Hyde neck tends to move a lot, the final looks is really terrific!!

This fgure really succes on expres the fun and dark aura of this monster and have the best accesorys of serires 6. Sadly this was the very last figure NECA release about TNBC, leaving out some important Halloween Town citizens (3 of the Vampires, Corpse Daddy, Hang Men Tree and the Musicians) tough they still had some special figures that werent included in the serires, like the Vampire Jack i reviewed weeks ago and the Pirate Jack from Jim and the Gian Peach, also a couple of VERY important characters, one of them even on a playset...
